Broken Nose July 3, 2010

Bryce broke his nose the night before we left for Glacier National Park. We were busy packing the truck and the kids were playing on the cement pad in front of the garage. Our dog was running circles around the truck and Bryce was standing on the sidewalk and as Copper rounded the corner, he ran right into Bryce. Bryce didn't have any reaction time. His legs were knocked right out from under him and his face planted right into the cement pad.
He immediately started bleeding out of his nose and mouth. It took awhile to get him settled down and I put ice packs on his mouth that night. Unfortunately it was much worse the next morning.
We got up and ready to go and stopped at the doctor office on the way out of town. Bryce broke his nose! Dr. said not much could be done other than ice and Motrin. We packed him in the car and set out on our 7 hour drive.
He was a trooper!
He hardly complained of the pain at all. The pictures we took were actually after the swelling went down. He looked horrible for a couple of days, but it healed quickly and now Bryce has a great battle story.

Oh no! His sad, swollen nose and lips! You are a trooper too - all that blood would have freaked me out. Poor guy!
